Happy New Year!

Here in Oregon we have been experiencing one of our coldest winters ever.  With all of us tucked indoors, it is a time to enjoy friends and family over pots of hot soup.  One of our favorites is our "Spicy Chicken Soup" with Salsa Zamora.  This creamy soup served with hunks of crusty bread is always a hit with our guests. We are entering 2009 with thankful hearts for the blessings of 2008 and hopes for the year ahead.  Our good friend Dave Craig just returned from Sierra Leone where he visited Heaven's Garden Baby Rescue Center. Dave reported that our fifteen babies are healthy and doing well. Fresh Hope International has just finished refurbishing another house for the toddlers, which will enable us to take new orphaned babies into the Rescue Center this year.
